From Everyday Items A Home Needs To The Latest Gadgets On The Market

Electronics Every Home Needs

Whether you're a new home owner, a recently married couple, or a college graduate on their own for the first time, there are several home related electronics that most people would assume are necessities. Here’s the complete list to get you started in your home or apartment:

  1. TVs- there are so many different styles and types of televisions on the market these days you can easily find the best one for your taste and your budget.
  2. Movies- DVD player, Blu Ray player, video (VHS) players. The need for this electronic device will of course depend on what you watch, if you only stream, or if you have home videos from the past you play and so on.
  3. Music- stereos, sound bars, speakers, record player, CD player. Again, user determined. Some people love the sound of vinyl and won’t play anything else. Some of us prefer the unlimited variety of music only available on the Internet.
  4. Gaming- consoles, remotes, and other related accoutrements.
  5. Computers- tablets, pads, monitors and anything else you need for your computer system of choice.
  6. Printer- maybe an all-in-one device that prints, scans, and copies. Even though our society continues to move towards paperless, it’s always great to have the ability to print on demand when needed.
  7. Networking equipment- routers, Airports, Wifi hard drive.
  8. Phones- cell, landline, or cordless phone; there are many, many options to choose from but definitely an electronic every home absolutely needs.

Home Electronics Splurge- The Latest Gadgets

Who doesn’t dream of high-tech gadgets that can clean and run your home like a futuristic dream. With the invention of advanced technologies and devices, those dreams are starting to come true. Let’s look at some of the latest home electronic gadgets available.

  1. Self-propelling vacuum- these little automatic robot vacuums are quite useful, affordable, and make home maintenance life a lot easier. They can be programmed to clean up your floors any time you like without needing any attention or taking up any of your time.
  2. Front door camera - these small video devices are truly useful, both in saving your sanity and protecting your home members. You will be notified on your cell phone when someone or something is at the door. You can respond, ignore, or call for help if needed from anywhere in your home.
  3. Wireless systems- having the power to control various elements of your home's electronics at your fingertips is such a blessing.                                                                                                                  SMART technology means “Self-Monitoring Analysis and Reporting Technology." A smart home refers to a convenient home setup where appliances and devices can be automatically controlled remotely allowing the user to control functions such as security access to the home, temperature, lighting, and a home theater remotely.”-Investopedia
  4. The new Smoke Detector- these new devices allow you, once again, to control their function from a mobile app. No more bashing the detector around when you have some burnt toast.
  5. Coded door locks- most of us can’t find our keys at some point, or they are in the bottom of your bag while your hands are too full to go searching. Having a locking system installed that requires a number code versus a physical key can be quite convenient.

Appliances Every Home Needs

Most of these appliances might come already installed with a rental apartment or a new home. That’s not always the case, so here is a list that most would agree are essential appliances needed to run a home smoothly and happily.

LARGE

  1. Dishwasher
  2. Grill
  3. Refrigerator
  4. Stoves & Ovens
  5. Washer & Dryer

SMALL

  1. A/C unit- it may depend what city you live in or how old or new your place is if an air conditioner comes with the dwelling or not. As the climate temperature increases, people are finding more and more that they need cooling units to survive the harsh summer months.
  2. Blender, food processor- morning protein shakes, homemade dips and sauces...if you cook at all, these types of blending appliances are indispensable.
  3. Coffee maker, electric tea kettle- just yes!
  4. Fans- ceiling fans or stand alone circulating fans can make the home air environment much more comfortable as well as being a lower cost solution to an A/C unit for cooling down the air temperature.
  5. Juicer- this may not be a necessity for everyone, but as Americans become more health conscious, a good quality juicer will help the family stay in excellent shape with good nutrition additions.
  6. Humidifier- adding moisture to the air or taking it away (with a dehumidifier) again will depend on where you live and the particularities of your home environment, but these appliances are really wonderful to have to keep your home comfortable and the air at a high quality breathable level.
  7. Microwave- not necessary 100 percent but very convenient.
  8. Toaster Oven- this is a great appliance to have when you don’t want to use the full power of your oven for smaller dishes or heating up some leftovers.

Home Appliances Splurge- The Latest Gadgets

  1. Touch Faucet- Are you tired of wiping down your faucet handles after working with meat or messy foods? Touch-sensitive faucets are both sanitary and highly convenient. A kitchen sink faucet with voice control, hands-free dispensing, volume and temperature presets, and water usage reports are now available, making life in the kitchen much more practical. They can also include an indicator that changes color according to the water temperature, glowing red when water is hot and blue when cold. The wave sensor lets you turn the faucet on and off with no touch, simply wave your hand to begin dispensing water and to stop the flow.
  2. WiFi Coffee Machine- Smarter coffee makers do it all in one. Coffee is now easy to grind and brew on demand or automatically according to your preferred schedule. Set your grind coarseness and brew strength for the perfect cup every time.
  3. Air Purifier- Smart air purifiers can help you keep a close eye on your indoor air quality and breathe a little easier. From HEPA filtration to ionic technology, the  options are many and easy to find the best one for your needs and budget.
  4. Smart Speaker- A smart speaker goes beyond just playing music. They now serve as a central command center, letting you control other connected home appliances thru voice command.
  5. Smart Bed- Unfortunately insomnia and other sleep issues run high for the US population. For deeper night’s rest and better sleep quality, investing in a cooling or ‘smart’ bed can literally add to your overall health. These types of beds adjust temperature, firmness and softness, and also record your sleep patterns over time helping you to make necessary adjustments.
